Solar Cost Calculator provides free educational calculator tools to estimate indicative UK solar PV costs, residential battery storage add-ons, SEG export income, and simple return on investment. Commercial estimates cover rooftop PV, CapEx, and PPA scenarios. We may also facilitate introductions to third-party MCS-certified installers when you choose to request quotes.

3. Not professional advice

Calculator outputs are estimates based on benchmarks, regional modifiers, and assumptions — not a formal quotation, survey, or financial advice. Actual costs depend on roof condition, scaffolding, inverter choice, DNO requirements, labour rates, and equipment brands. Always obtain an on-site survey from a qualified installer before purchasing.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt unauthorised access to systems, scrape data aggressively, or reverse engineer proprietary logic.

5. Estimates and VAT

Residential calculator results may reference 0% VAT relief on qualifying solar PV, inverter, and battery installations until 31 March 2027 (subject to HMRC eligibility). Tax rules change; you are responsible for confirming eligibility with your installer and adviser.

If you submit a quote request via an embedded partner form, your contract is with the installer or lead platform — not with us. We do not guarantee quote accuracy, availability, workmanship, MCS certification, or timelines. We are not responsible for third-party websites or communications.
